We conducted around 40 surveys to see how Belle Isle was used. The weather was warm and sunny and there was already a large amount of people sitting on the rocks. The majority of people who visited the park were there to either get fresh air or exercise with their dogs. There was a diverse group of ages and demographics, but the majority of park users could not think of a way that could improve the park. I thought this was interesting because it was the question that took surveyors the longest to answer, and they still could not think of an answer. Additionally, one last thing that I thought was interesting was the majority of park users were not first time users and said they visit the park more than once a week, but I had never seen half of the users before, and we have always gone at the same time.
